Well, I think it is safe to say that I do not think that there is another person in this world that loves make up more than me!

..::Review + Giveaway::.. Boiron Sabadil Tablets! (CLOSED!)

Review / Giveaway – Boiron Sabadil Tablets

What is it exactly?

From the website…
“…Temporarily relieves one or more symptoms of hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies: itchy and runny nose, sneezing, and itchy and water eyes…”

Review…

I’ve recently had the pleasure of reviewing Boiron Sabadil Tablets. Please read on . . .

Packaging & Presentation

I received one box of Sabadil tablets to review.  One box contains 60-quick dissolving tablets.

Here is a picture of how the tablets are presented:

Ease of Use

I have pretty bad allergies during the changing of the seasons.  I was really happy to test out Sabadil tablets, as I want some relief from my runny nose!

First, I would like to talk about the tablet itself.  It is quite small, as you can see.  It is about ¼ the size of a dime.  As soon as you place it on your tongue, it is gone.  It is that quick!  There is absolutely no taste, but it works really good!

As far as dosage, for adults and children 6 years of age and older: At the onset of symptoms, dissolve 2 tablets in the mouth every 15 minutes for 1 hour.  After that, dissolve 2 tablets in the mouth 3 times a day.

There is also Children’s Sabadil Pellets, safe for kids ages 2 and up!

Pros
  • Non-drowsy; non-habit forming; no drug interactions; no risk of overdose
  • Safe for everyone 6 years of age and older
  • Melt-away tablets – no water, chewing, or swallowing required

Summary

Our world is really changing.  There are lots of products on the market that claim to help rid your body of this and that, but it is just adding lots of unnatural chemicals to your body’s composition.  Homeopathic medicinal forms have been presenting themselves more now than ever.  With no side effects, no scares of overdose, no drug interactions, and essentially no harm whatsoever, it’s no wonder why society is leaning towards more all-natural homeopathic ways.  I am a big advocate for natural products, as I do not like to load my body on drugs.  Boiron’s Sabadil Tablets have turned out to be amazing for me.  I have been taking them for 3 days now, and my nose has stopped running, and I feel a sense of clarity.  Please click HERE to see a complete list of active and inactive ingredients!

From the website . . .
"...We've designed a disposable inflatable potty seat for today's fast-past family lifestyle. It's an inexpensive, no mess way to bring all the familiarity and comforts of home with them whenever and wherever the family might go. The On-the-GO Inflatable Potty Seat is a safe, sanitary and convenient way to take the stress out of potty training while traveling for you and your toddler. It's soft and comfortable design allows toddlers to become acclimated with the product without doing any harm to themselves. We all know how difficult it can be to train a child once they've been spooked! But that's just one of the many unique benefits the disposable inflatable potty seat has to offer..."

Review…

I’ve recently had the pleasure of reviewing the Disposable Inflatable Potty Seat!  Please read on . . .

Packaging & Presentation

I received the Disposable Inflatable Potty Seat in a box like this:

Then I opened it up to find a neatly folded potty chair in a blue color with a cute character face on it!

Ease of Use

The Disposable Inflatable Potty Seat is really easy to use.

After I unfolded it, it looks like this.  It has 2 valves on the back, one to inflate the potty seat, and another to deflate it.  It is a fast process, and doesn’t take long at all.

After inflation, it stands like this:

Here, you can see a clearer picture of the bottom, in which it easily sets into the toilet.

Next, you can see how nice it fits on the seat of my toilet, it makes my toilet look really cute  J

Pros
  • It's soft and comfortable
  • Handles for safety
  • It's super light weight
  • Travel-ready
  • Inflates easily/deflates quickly
  • Sturdy Construction
  • Backrest support
  • Inexpensive
  • Disposable

Summary

I am currently potty training my 2 year old, and he was really excited to get this potty seat!  I’ve been having a really hard time trying to get him to sit on the toilet, but he easily does it now because he really likes the character face on the potty seat.  Personally, what I like best about it is that I can take it EVERYWHERE!  We travel a lot, since we are in the military. That way, we can continue potty training wherever we go and still have a sense of stability in the training.  Also, since they are inexpensive, there is no hassle to clean them if a mess occurs.  You can easily just dispose of them and get a new one!

Please visit On-the-Go Inflatables on:

Also, On-the-Go Inflatables is actively working on new products to make your life simpler!  Not everyone enjoys inflating things manually, so they are coming out with a 3 oz air canister that will ease the inflation process.  Each can will produce between 3 and 4 inflations at an interval of 4 to 6 seconds!  This would be great for travel, as you may not always have the opportunity to properly disinfect the mouthpiece while out and about!

My Take on Food Inc.

Last night, my husband and I wanted to watch a movie.  My husband was browsing Netflix, when he came across a movie called, "Food, Inc."  It looked pretty interesting, considering we never really watch documentaries, especially on food!

Let me tell you, this movie was breathtaking.

I can't believe all the secrets behind food.

First, I want to say that my family and I do NOT eat pork.  With all the growth hormones, antibiotics, steroids, and additives, it's not safe!

After watching this movie, we were awed that chicken, beef, some seafood, and even our vegetable stock is tainted with all the aforementioned!

It's completely disgusting that our food supply is not important anymore.  It's just a mere branch of politics nowadays.

People are getting fat.  People are getting lazy.  People are evolving into reliant additive addicts.

I bought a bag of fruit snacks today, thinking that they were pretty healthy.  I actually took the time to read the label before I ate them, and saw that THEY WERE NOT REAL.  Everything is from cheap-o corn, and genetically modified crap.

I feel really bad that I have been feeding my husband, let alone my 2 year old son junk.  Fake food.

Well, today my husband and I decided to make a change.  I mean, we can't change everything, but we'll try!

Today, we went to a Farmer's Market and we checked out some of the stands.  There is this place where we can order homegrown fruits and vegetables online, and pick them up at the market.  It's really cheap, and it is completely organic.  We are really excited.

Also, we have started a garden.  Here is what we planted:
  • 12 Artichoke Plants
  • 2 Broccoli Plants
  • 2 Garden Bean Plants
  • 2 Okra Plants
  • 4 Tomato Plants
  • 6 Jalapeno Plants
  • 6 Corn Plants
We are also going to save some extra money to get some hormone-free meat.  It's a little more expensive, but if we buy in bulk we can save $$$.

I'm glad I got to share this information, my husband and I learned a lot about the food industry.  We learned that even though supermarkets carry over 47,000 products, there are only a handful of manufacturers that produce these goods.

From now on, we are supporting local growers, and trying to stay away from all of the additional fillers in food that promote human inactivity and addiction!

Please leave some comments, let me know how you feel about this stuff!

..::Book Review::.. Sunstruck by Mayra Calvani

My Review of Sunstruck by Mayra Calvani

What is it about?

From the website . . .
"...Twenty-four-year-old Daniella is an architecture student living with her narcissistic artist boyfriend in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Abandoned by her father at an early age, Daniella always falls for the wrong type of man. Her most enduring male relationship so far is with her 30-pound Turkish angora cat. Thankfully, Daniella’s mother is always there to offer a shoulder.
Several strange mysteries are threaded through Daniella’s everyday life: her ex-husband, Ismael, has just opened an outlandish hotel for animal lovers that has her distraught; Ismael’s wife, a rich woman Daniella fondly refers to as “Lady Dracula,” has some gruesome ways to keep her skin looking young; Daniella’s mother is founding a revolutionary, feminist society called The Praying Mantises; the island’s national forest is being depleted of hallucinogenic mushrooms; meanwhile, young girls are disappearing and there’s a nut loose dressed as Zorro slashing the rear ends of women who wear miniskirts..."

Review…

I’ve recently had the pleasure of reading and reviewing Sunstruck by Mayra Calvani!  Please read on . . .

I love to read, and Sunstruck was great!  I read its entirety in one sitting, because I couldn’t put it down.

What I really liked about the book is the complexity of the conflicts.  It leaves enough room for the audience to wonder what happens next, but I was satisfied with the information it provided at the end.

This was probably the most interesting piece of fiction I’ve ever read.  I think I really liked it, because the main character, Daniella, reminded me a lot of myself.

Here is my interpretation of Sunstruck: (I promise I won’t spoil it!)

Daniella is a girl who has been through a few rough patches in life, and she always seems to date the ‘losers’. (AKA people who have a dream that really aren’t making it.)  She tries to make the best of it, but she knows in her heart that there should be more to her life.  The only two things consistent in her life is her cat, Commando and her mother, Marcela.

At 24, Daniella has been through a divorce, and is living with a guy she really doesn’t like named Tony.  Tony cares more about trying to become famous, and his drugs.

There are some odd characters presented in this story, which made it really interesting.  Everything that Daniella sees is not really what it is.  To me, there was a lot of symbolism in this book, mostly dealing with two-sided everything.  People who seem real, really aren’t.  Commando’s eyes were two different colors, characters were caught in making two decisions, etc.

I really liked how the story subtly described everybody’s way to try to find themselves:

  • Tony: tried to make the life of a famous painter, with his weird-o art.
  • Daniella: always knew there was more to her life than she was living.
  • Ismael: went from a nobody to a somebody really quickly, and was greedy and wanted more.
  • Lady Dracula: wants everlasting youth, and will go through drastic measures to ensure it is hers.
  • Marcela: lonely, tries to find her way in this world.  Feminist in disguise.
  • Mari Carmen: knows what she wants, but can’t exactly make up her own mind.
  • Zorro: The X character who puts life and threat into San Juan.
  • Commando: an imported cat who provided Daniella with stability and faith.

There are so many secrets to uncover.  You will have to read the book to find out!

If I was to describe Sunstruck in 3 words:
  1. Twisted (only book I haven’t been able to guess the ending!)
  2. Intriguing (I couldn’t put it down!)
  3. Personal (It truly hit home with me, and portrayed feelings that I consider my own!)

I would highly recommend reading Sunstruck.  It will make you laugh, cry, and relate to the conflicts.  I truly love the story, and already have 3 of my closest friends interested in reading it.  (They are waiting in line!)

You can buy the book on Amazon HERE, in print or on the Kindle.  You can also read the first chapter for free right here:

..::Product Review::.. PeeKeeper Dog Diaper!

My Review of PeeKeeper

What is it exactly?

From the website . . .
"...The PeeKeeper is an escape-proof dog diaper that solves the problem of incontinent dogs, male dog marking, dogs in heat and excitable or submisive urination. Unlike many other products that are nearly impossible to keep on, the PeeKeeper is totally nonslip. It has an adjustable harness and it won't slide off the shoulders like some diapers with straps just around the neck. It is more effective than a belly band and when worn by a male dog it will also prevent mating. Quite simply, the PeeKeeper is the solution you have been searching for if you have a problem with a dog that pees in the house!..."

Review…

I’ve recently had the pleasure of reviewing the PeeKeeper!  Please read on . . .

Packaging & Presentation

I received the PeeKeeper in pink for my female Red-Nosed Pit Bull, Julie.  She was the runt of the litter, so even at 4 months old, she is tiny.  I don’t expect her to grow very much more! For her, I had to get the Small 13”-16” waist, with a length of 16”.  The PeeKeeper arrived nicely folded, and I was really excited to put it to the test!

Ease of Use

With Julie, during the day she knows that she has to ‘do her business’ outside.  At night is when we have troubles.  I’ve tried everything.  Initially, we let her roam at night time, boy was that a mistake!  Since it was really cold outside, we had no choice but to crate her up at night.  She would mess her crate up EVERY NIGHT!  (I sized the crate right, to ensure it wasn’t too big!) It was awful waking up in the morning with a dog covered in feces/urine and a crate that was even worse.  It was my worst nightmare.  I was really excited when I got to try out the PeeKeeper, because I was on my last string. I’ve had enough of my share cleaning up dog mess everyday.  LET ME TELL YOU, the PeeKeeper works!  This has got to be the BEST PRODUCT on the market.  I’ve been using it for 5 days now, and she has not made a mess in the crate, or the house!

Let me explain how it works.  First, there is Velcro to ensure that it is snug around your dog’s waist.  It is sort of like a harness, that comes up to latch on around the neck.  This stabilizes the diaper, making it almost impossible for your dog to escape from (unless you have a Houdini dog!)

Next, there are adjustable clips where you can make it just the right size to give your dog the most comforting fit.  What I also like, is that you can put a maxi pad right in it to absorb the urine if your dog pees in it.  You can easily throw away the pad, and wash the PeeKeeper.  It’s wonderful!

Here are a couple pictures of how Julie sported the pink PeeKeeper (I know, she’s cute!)

Pros
  • Comes in a plethora of colors, suitable for you and your dog!
  • Escape-proof
  • Allows use of a maxi pad to absorb urine
  • Great tool to housebreak your dog

Summary

I was completely fed up with my dog, and her ‘messes’ at night.  Luckily, the PeeKeeper was my saving grace.  I’ve never tried a dog diaper, and for my first time, I can’t believe how great it worked.  For 5 days now, I haven’t had to clean up ANY messes, and Julie is learning to hold her business in until the morning.  I’m really ecstatic to share this information! Please try out the PeeKeeper for yourself, as this will be the LAST product you will ever have to buy to housebreak your dog!

PeeKeeper has kindly provided my readers with a 10% discount code, so you can try out PeeKeeper for yourself!  Enter ‘MB2B10’ in the coupon code box during the ordering process.  Hurry, as this code will expire on April 15! Please click HERE to go to their store!
