I was sent the InstaWave Automatic Curler from Kiss to review.

Packaging & Presentation of the Kiss InstaWave Automatic Curler
The curler arrived in a 15" x 5.5" x 2.5" box. The front of the box has a full window on it so you can actually put a visual on the curler. The front also gives a quick once-over of the process. The back of the box details more information, namely:

The side of the box is good for storage information, in case you keep it stored in the box while not in use. The bottom of the box provides the company contact information.
Lastly, the exterior of the box hosts a safety seal, so you know that you are the sole owner and user of the product.

There is a full-blown instruction guide and a quick and easy guide. The cord is marked with a safety tag.
The cord is tied up, and be prepared to get the scissors, because this is a zip-tie, and it doesn't pull off. The end of the cord gives way to a polarized plug.
The InstaWave has a very nice, long cord. It also has a built in swivel, making it easy to use and it won't tangle around your arm.
My Personal Experience with the Kiss InstaWave Automatic Curler
The first point of the InstaWave that attracted me is the barrel. This barrel uses Diamond-Ceramic Technology that maintains ionic effects uniformly throughout the barrel.
After plugging it in, you will notice a noise. According to Kiss, it's absolutely normal and is caused by the circuit to drive motor. It poses no safety risk.
Here is a close-up of the controls. There is a power indicator light, a right and left button which directs the curl dial that catches your hair, and a power switch. There is an off, low, and high setting. This curler reaches a maximum of 420*, so keep that in mind when you use it. For loose curls or waves, set it on the low setting. For medium curls, use low or high, and for tight ringlet curls, set it to high.
When you plug the InstaWave in, the indicator light turns red. This light then turns blue when it has reached the proper usage temperature. It doesn't take long!
I have super long, straight hair. Using a conventional curling iron is almost impossible. It takes forever, it hurts my wrists, and the curls do not last all day.
I held the InstaWave vertically (do not use it horizontally, or it will tangle), and let it automatically pick up my hair. I used about 1.5" sections. I set it on the low setting, and kept it on for about 5 seconds for some loose curls.

Pros of the Kiss InstaWave Automatic Curler
- It is so easy to use. You literally put your hair close to it, and it picks it up.
- It heats up fast, and the heat is uniform throughout the barrel.
- The swivel cord makes it easy to use without it getting tangled.
Cons of the Kiss InstaWave Automatic Curler
- I wish it came with a little storage bag.
- The manufacturer should note the plugged-in sound and state that it is not a safety concern.
Summary
This was really, really fun to use. It was a lot faster than a traditional curler. I also like that I didn't get burned, tangled, or kinked. This would make a wonderful Christmas gift!

Not sure if I would be ready to try this, it looks like you don't have much control over your curls.
