..::Review + Giveaway::.. iCrayonMaker

iCrayonMaker Application

What is it exactly?

The iCrayonMaker is a downloadable application for the iPod/iPhone and the iCrayonMaker in HD for the iPad.   This application is available through the iTunes App Store!

This application allows the user to create their own colored crayons, and save them and create pictures using their homemade colors.

Review…

I’ve recently had the pleasure of reviewing this application for my iPhone.  I must say, I was really delighted in the turn out, and I have had a lot of fun with it!  Not only me, but my whole family enjoys it.  I showed it to our roommate, who loves it!

Packaging & Presentation

It was very easy to receive this application from the iTunes Store.  I just clicked on the ‘Redeem’ Button in iTunes, and entered my code.  It instantly downloaded to my phone desktop.  The icon is professional, and very easy to recognize as iCrayonMaker.

Ease of Use

iCrayonMaker is very user-friendly.  I had an easy time figuring out how to use the app!  Basically, the home screen begins with a white circle.  You then pick from the base crayons on the bottom and swirl your mixtures in until you come up with a color that is your creation.
This is the base screen, before you begin creating.

Next, you click on the ‘Colors’ tab on top to save your homemade crayon color and give it the name of your choice!

This is where you swirl your colors together.

After that, you click on ‘Crayon Draw’, and you can make your own pictures using the colors that you have created.

Under the ‘Change’ button, you can choose from the Crayon, Chalk, Glitter, or Felt Marker options.
This is the screen where you can choose your application tool.

The ‘Undo’ button erases your last made mark, while the ‘Erase’ button erases the whole drawing board.

You can always go back to the Crayon Maker tab and click ‘Colors’ again and choose a different color.

The best part?  There is a share button on top.  You can save it to your camera roll, send it directly to Facebook, or email it to somebody!

This is the screen in which you can share your creations!

Pros / Cons

Pros
Easy to save and share with family and friends
Good start for kids to intensify their creativity skills
Fun application for any age

Cons
Kind of difficult to choose another color quickly
Maybe an eraser tool would be better than ‘undo’

Summary

I really enjoyed this application.  It’s fun to use, whether playing around at home, or as a getaway while you are at the doctor’s office.  I took some screenshots from my iPhone, however I didn’t save any of my art creations because, well, I’m not that artistic and they didn’t come out good!  I love this app, and I know that if you tried it, you would love it as well!
These are the colors that I made.  I didn't come up with creative names.  =[
