Review / Giveaway – Space Race
What is it exactly?
From the website…
"...Space Race (www.spaceracekids.com) launched as an animated web series focusing on space education, space travel and racing, with the goal of teaching children about space and the solar system. Space Race features eight characters, each in spaceship form, as they race through space, merging unique comic relief with breathtaking excitement and adventure..."
Review…
I’ve recently had the pleasure of reviewing Space Race. Please read on . . .
Packaging & Presentation
Space Race is a really neat place where kids can learn more about our universe! It is geared towards children, and there are mini-episodes that are about 4 minutes long. Currently, the episodes that are available are of the Moon, Earth, Space Stations, and Mars. My son LOVES this web series!
The website also offers games to play, entertaining ways to learn such as flash cards, worksheets, and coloring sheets, a trailer for the series, E-Cards, and a neat shop where you can buy t-shirts for your child sporting their new found character-friends!
Pros
- Free!
- Great way to teach your children about space
- Interesting storyline
- Won a Kids First! Award in 2009
Summary
As a supplement to the Space Race series, I was also sent this neat poster to hang up!
Since receiving the poster, and watching Space Race, my son has showed an extreme interest in space, and I have the creators of Space Race to thank! I love educating my son, and I love that he found something that interests him!
