Packaging & Presentation

Color it by Numbers is a web-delivered program that I downloaded.  The icons for both applications are very distinct, which is nice because if you download more than one, you know which one you are clicking on!

Ease of Use

Color it by Numbers is developed for children ages 4-11.  It is an application for Mac, Windows, and Linux!  It is translated into many languages: English, German, Spanish, French, and Russian. 

To begin with, my son and I started with the Animals.  There are about 20 different animal pictures that we can choose from.  Of course, I naturally picked the owl as it is my favorite animal!

Upon opening the application, a prompt comes up that allows you to make the choice to color by number, color to make visible, or color it in your own colors. 

We picked the color to make visible option, and there is a little tube at the top where you click on it, and it brings up a box where you can manually set your own colors.

After playing around with the Animals Color it by Numbers, we opened the Vehicles.  There are also a large variety of pictures to choose from!  Here, you can see that we were working on coloring in a ship!

Summary

Color it by Numbers is a really neat application for kids.  I loved watching my son put on his creative face and develop some colorful art!
