I’ve recently had the pleasure of reviewing the SmartLab Toys: Snap Fashion Jewelry Studio! Please read on . . .
Packaging & Presentation
For review, I received the entire Snap Fashion Jewelry Studio! The packaging is very attractive, and describes exactly the contents of the studio.
Inside, I received:
- Snap Maker
- 16 fabric circles
- 12 jewels
- Ribbon
- 5 bases
- 2 rings
- 25 snap domes plus backs
- Transfer Sheet
- Connector
- Tracing Ring
- 5 ml bottle of glue
- Look Book of Inspired Accessories
- Bookmark
Ease of Use
My son and I love doing crafts together. It’s bonding for us, and it is really fun to see his creativity grow! He wanted to help me make a ring, so I am going to walk you through the process that we did.
First, we picked out a green gingham fabric for the ring base. You can pick any fabric you want, and use the ring tracer to make the perfect fit circle for the Snap Maker. Here, you can see that we placed the fabric circle into the Snap Maker:
The next step is to push the handle down, so it pushes the fabric around the snap dome.
When you pull it back up, you can see the extra fabric that you push into the center of the snap and then apply the snap backer.
Next, you push the Snap Maker down again, and press the release button.
Out pops a perfectly built snap to create many different accessories!
Since we decided upon creating a ring, we chose the ring accessory. You simply just ‘snap’ it on:
Here is the final product! I wanted to add a small decal of an owl on it, so I will just get one at a craft store!
The Look Book is really neat, because it gives wonderful ideas of accessories to make, and how to use all of the materials in the studio. I really like the monogram letters, however, it requires acetone to transfer them on to the fabric, and I do not have any nail polish remover at this time! For example, some other accessories that you can make are: Lockets, friendship bracelets, hair accessories, bow trimmings, key chains, punk charms, etc. The sky is the limit with SmartLab Toys: Snap Fashion Jewelry Studio!

Summary
My son and I had a fantastic time using the SmartLab Toys: Snap Fashion Jewelry Studio. Charlie seemed as if he was in awe about the beautiful ring that I was wearing that he made! I was happy to share the time with him and teach him that the best gifts are the handmade ones! J Snap Fashion Jewelry is great for anybody. I love doing small crafts, and I can’t wait to find a small owl decal to finish up my ring! Next, I am going to make an owl locket to match it!
