Packaging & Presentation of the 24K Gold Collagen Mask
First, I'd like to say that this is a very interesting package. Unlike other masks that I've used in the past, this mask comes in a large foil packet. It sits in a liquid, and you can see through the front and look directly at the golden mask.
The front slip cover labels the product and defines the main characteristics of the mask. Since I received the face and chin combo mask, the chin part is packed separately. At first, I was unsure what it was since it is not labeled.
The back of the package is simple, too. It lists the ingredients and directions for use.
Overall it is very attractive packaging and catches my eye.
My Personal Experience with the 24K Gold Collagen Mask
Luckily, I have a wonderful sister-in-law who was willing to help me review this mask. I took the pictures as she modeled the process.
First things first-- exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate. We used a lathering exfoliation scrub.
After exfoliating your face and neck, it's time to work with the mask. Tear open the mask at the pre-cut strips and let the liquid drip into a cup. Make sure to save this liquid! When you are finished pouring, rub the liquid onto your face and neck until moist. It feels like water, so you really need to work with it.
After that, your skin is ready for the mask! Starting with the full face mask, gently place it over your eyes first. Centering from that point, lay it evenly across your face. It's easier if you have somebody to help you with this step. Do not forget to add the chin mask, too!
Keep the mask on for 20-30 minutes and then remove it. Take some more of that liquid you saved from earlier and pat a little into your skin. After that you have super smooth, beautiful skin!
Pros of the 24K Gold Collagen Mask
- Made with Gold/pearl powder (how neat is that!?).
- Really works. I loved the feel of my skin after using it, as did Marah, my sister-in-law.
- Relaxing. At first, it felt strange. Really strange. But the longer it stayed on the more relaxing it became.
- Affordable. Skip the salon and buy some of these for an in-home spa experience.
Cons of the 24K Gold Collagen Mask
- You can't move or the mask will fall off. You are confined to one position for 20-30 minutes (which isn't always a bad thing!).
- The neck mask does not stay on well. We had to readjust it every few minutes to keep it from sliding off.
- The mask is easy to puncture, so be aware of that while trying to put it on.
Summary
This mask couldn't have came at a better time. It was wonderful being able to relax and forget about reality for awhile. I'm not a huge spender when it comes to salon services, so being able to purchase a mask like this and do it on my own time is wonderful.
