..::Subscription Box Review::.. Nicely Noted ~ November

My Review of the November Nicely Noted Subscription Service

What is it exactly?

     From the website. . .
"Nicely Noted is a stationery subscription service that delivers a curated collection of letterpress cards and stamps to your mailbox every month."

Review…

I was sent the November package from Nicely Noted to review.
The price for this service is $20.00, and shipping is free.

Packaging & Presentation of
the November Nicely Noted Subscription Service

This monthly service does not arrive in a box, but it comes in an envelope delivered directly to your mail box. It is a normal white envelope, and mine arrived in perfect condition.

When I took the contents out of the envelope, I found everything was banded to keep it all together.  The front says, "Keep in touch", and the back describes this month's collection , and advice on getting the stamps to peel properly.

There were also two little notes, one is a welcome not, and the other is for a link to unique gift ideas.

Here is everything all laid out (I'm really excited about the owl card!).

My Personal Experience with the November Nicely Noted Subscription Service

This is definitely a service for me!  I have always loved mail. Receiving a card in the mail is so exciting to me.

When I was little, I made a makeshift mail box and posted it outside of my bedroom door, and I expected everybody in my family to write notes and place them inside.  I remember how happy I was when I got them!  I really never grew out of it, and I look forward to 2:00 pm everyday when the mailman arrives.  (Let me mention that this is 20 years later)!

These letterpress cards are a-m-a-z-i-n-g, and I can't wait to use them!  There is always an occasion for a card, so this service is very useful.

The first card is seaweed green, and almost reminds me of an Aztec design.  It is called Pic-A-Nic by Hammerpress and it was printed in Kansas City, Missouri.  It comes with an envelope, too.  This card is opened from the side.

The second card, a peachy-pink thank you card is called Many Thanks by Odd Daughter.  It was printed in San Diego, California.  This one also comes with an envelope.  This card is opened from from the bottom.

The final card, (my favorite of the bunch) is called Owls Well by Thimblepress.  This card was hand printed in Jackson, Mississippi.  It is just beautiful.  This card also includes a matching envelope.  It is opened from the side.

Lastly, the Nicely Noted service includes a different stamp for each card.  These are not your normal stamps, these are special stamps.  They are all different, and feature completely different ideas.  Each one has an easy-peel bendy back.  They are all 'forever' stamps.  I received a West Virginia 1863 stamp, a Charlton Heston stamp, and a stamp with colorful drawn flowers.  These stamps are placed in a little wax envelope so they do not get lost.

Pros of the November Nicely Noted Subscription Service
  • These are definitely the highest quality cards I have ever used.
  • Each month you receive something new, original, and different.  You will always be ready for that special occasion with a card unlike any other.
  • This service includes stamps for each card.
  • The cards are actually hand pressed from an antique press.
  • Delivered to your door.

Cons of the November Nicely Noted Subscription Service
    • I think the exterior envelope should be a little more sturdy.  It doesn't take much to bend an envelope, but a box would be overdoing it.  I'd just suggest using one of the cardboard-type thicker envelopes for shipping.
    • The exterior package should also be a little bit bigger.  I like to peek in my mail box and automatically notice it before anything else and say, "YES! My Nicely Noted is here!".
          Summary

This service is fantastic.  I love it!  When I first began looking into it, I really didn't know what to expect.  It seemed pretty expensive for the amount of which you receive.  BUT, now that I actually can physically hold them in my hands, it is definitely worth it!  Nicely Noted also offers a gift subscription.  This would make an excellent Christmas gift for those letter-lovers in your life!
