My Review of Niacinamide Pore Refining Serum

What is it exactly?

     From the website. . .
"Derma MD new  "Niacinamide Pore Refining Serum" is your answer.  This light gel based serum contains anti-aging ingredients that will refine & improve texture of skin.  Combination of these ingredients work synergistically to exfoliate, hydrate, and slow down production of sebum that can lead to blemishes and appearance of larger pores.  Many times, the size of the pore will increase, especially with those with acneic skin conditions and or very oily skin.  Used on a daily basis, pores will look and appear smaller and skin texture will improve within days."

Review…

I was sent a 1.0 fl oz bottle of the niacinamide pore refining serum from Derma MD to review.

This 1.0 fl oz bottle costs $69.95.  Shipping begins at $10.00.

Packaging & Presentation of Niacinamide Pore Refining Serum

I'm happy to say that this bottle arrived in perfect condition.  It was wrapped in protective bubble packaging.  There were no dents, damages, nor leaks during shipment.  The bottle itself is white with pink accents.  The bottle also features chrome and gray decor.  The bottle stands almost 5.0" tall and 1.25" wide at its base.  This product uses a pump dispenser as its method of application.

The front of the bottle is fairly plain, but sometimes plain is classy.  In this case, it is indeed, classy.  It labels the product and brand, and it also states a single word, "Revive".  This is definitely what it does to your skin!

The back of the bottle describes the benefits of using this product, the directions, notes, and ingredients.  The manufacturer's contact information is also located here.  This product is cruelty-free, and has a 24-month PAO.

The pump dispenser is really nice.  It dispenses the perfect amount for one use.  I have not had any issues with it clogging.

My Personal Experience with Niacinamide Pore Refining Serum

Simply put:  this is amazing.  I'm really big into using the Dr. Brandt 'Pores No More', and it's kind of creamy and leaves a slick residue.

This on the other hand goes on like a serum, but it makes the pores so small.  I use this in conjunction with my makeup primer, the Mac Prep + Prime.  These two products together are the perfect combination.  My skin looks so smooth when I use them.

The serum itself is clear, and it is totally unscented.  It's very, very silky and it is runny (which is what I look for in a good serum).  You don't need a lot, so this bottle will last quite a while.

It feels so good on my skin.  It absorbs very easily, and it's not sticky or clammy.  It leaves absolutely no residue, and it works perfectly under makeup.  You are supposed to follow up with the Pink Silk, but I don't have that yet, so I cannot attest to it.

Pros of Niacinamide Pore Refining Serum
  • Non-greasy and no residue.
  • Completely unscented,  won't clash with any fragrances.
  • A small amount goes a long way.
  • Works excellent with other products.
  • Easily absorbed, and perfect under makeup.
Cons of Niacinamide Pore Refining Serum
      • I have not found any cons of this serum.
            Summary

I can't believe how awesome this is. I'm not kidding.  It's like a miracle product, and I love how it works in conjunction with products that I already have.  I love everything, from the way the bottle looks to how it works with my skin.  I would love to try the Pink Silk as a follow-up treatment.  I definitely recomend this!
