The book arrived to me in perfect condition.  There were no rips, tears, nor bends.  It is a sturdy book with a soft cover. The book measures 9.25" x 7.5" x 0.5".  It has a nice, attractive color scheme, too!

The front of the book has the title The 100 Best Vegan Baking Recipes. It has 'amazing cookies, cakes, muffins, pies, brownies, and breads'.  The back of the book explains how this book puts a vegan twist on traditional treats.

My Personal Experience with The 100 Best Vegan Baking Recipes by Kris Holechek

I've been really wanting a vegan cookbook for awhile now, and what's better than a baking one?!  I'm not a vegan, but I love the food when I can get it!  This was so exciting, that I just had to bake something for this review.  I chose to make the Peanut Butter and Jelly Bars on page 51, and gathered all of the ingredients.  At first, I was a little confused because the recipe called for milk, and since this is a vegan cookbook...  I realized that you can replace these items with vegan versions-- like soymilk, etc. if you choose to do so.

First, mix the dry ingredients together in one bowl, and the wet ingredients in another.

Then little by little, add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, and mix 'em in!

Spread the mixture on the bottom of a greased 8 x 8 pan, and be sure to save about 3/4 cup for the top crumbles.

Bake the crust for 20 minutes at 375º.  When it is done, add the jelly to the top (I used grape), and add the remaining dough in crumbles.

Put it back into the oven for another 20 minutes.  When it's done, it looks like this:

I was so excited to try it, and boy was it good!  It's very rich, but a delectable treat!

Cons of The 100 Best Vegan Baking Recipes by Kris Holechek
    • I haven't found any cons of this book.
          Summary

This is one of my most favorite recipe books.  First, it's full of bakery items.  YES. Next, they are incredibly simple to make, and the book incorporates a ton of different ideas.  If all of the recipes taste as good as these bars, I'm in for a bunch of treats!  I definitely recommend checking this out!
