Review…

I was sent a 50 fl oz glass french press from Francois et Mimi to review.

The price for this press is $20.20.  Shipping is free with Amazon Prime.

Packaging & Presentation of Francois et Mimi Glass French Press

The french press arrived to me in great condition!  There was not any damage, defects, nor issues during shipment.  The box is white, and it has brown and black accents.  There is a large picture of the french press illustrated on the box.  The box measures 10.0" x 7.5" x 5.5".

The front of the box labels the product and brand.  The back of the box provides notes about the product, directions for use, warnings, safety instructions, and warranty inquiries.  This press is made in China.

Both sides of the box are brown, and labels the product and brand.  The top is where you'll find the locking flip top.

When the box is opened, you'll find the press wrapped in protective bubble wrap.

There is also a small nut and knob that you need to screw on yourself before use.  The instructions don't mention this, but it's pretty easy to figure out.

My Personal Experience with Francois et Mimi Glass French Press

I've never used a French Press before, so I was more than excited to test this one out.  They are great for so many different things-- offices, camping, travel, etc.  My mom and dad use one when they travel, so they helped me out with this one.

First, we boiled some water, and filled up the French Press.  Then we added our coffee grounds.  I used the normal Gevalia brand.

Then, you have to let the grounds sit in the coffee for five minutes.  After five minutes, begin plunging until it hits the bottom.  You can repeat this process if necessary.

When all of this is done, your coffee is fresh and ready!

Pros of Francois et Mimi Glass French Press

  • Dishwasher Safe.
  • Very fast and easy to use.
  • Great for traveling.
Cons of Francois et Mimi Glass French Press
    • I wish a little instruction booklet came with the product, so I can store it and save it if I ever need to use them.
    Summary

This was a pretty successful review-- but there are a few things that I'd do differently.  First, I didn't use a coarse ground coffee, so a little bit of the grounds made their way into the cup.  Next, I would fill the entire press all the way with water instead of trying to make half of a pot.  The coffee wasn't as strong as I'd like because I didn't measure properly for the amount of water.  In general, this operates perfectly, and will make a great cup of coffee if I use the proper grounds.
