My Review of Lumi'Essence Organic Advanced Skin Brightening Repair Treatment

What is it exactly?

     From the website. . .
"Lumi'Essence Face visibly corrects freckles and dark spots caused by excessive and cumulative sun exposure and helps to even out skin tone overtime.  Contains Kojic Acid (helps lighten and reduce the appearance of dark spots), Alpha-Arbutin (derived from the leaves of cranberry, blueberry and barberry shrubs.  Skin lightening agent that prevents conversion of pigment-forming enzymes) Papaya and Pineapple extract (provides intense exfoliation to help reduce the size and color intensity of dark spots and help even skin tone overtime).  Niacinamide has an inhibitory effect on the transfer of melanosomes to skin cells, thus it can interrupt the process that causes irregular pigmentation to form.  Milk thistle is an effective anti-oxidant aids in repair of uneven skin overtime.  Recommended use am and pm.  Application of sunscreen of at least SPF 30 is mandatory while using this (and any kind of sun damage repairing) product."

Review…

I was sent a 2.0 fl oz bottle of the Lumi'Essence Organic Advanced Brightening Repair Treatment from Sweetsation Therapy to review.

The price for this bottle is $30.00, plus shipping.

Packaging & Presentation of Lumi'Essence Organic Advanced Skin Brightening Repair Treatment

The bottle stands a little over 3.75" tall.  It is 1.75" at its base.  It was shipped in perfect condition with absolutely no defects.  The bottle itself is very pretty, the label displays a nice pink to green gradation.  It was shipped nicely in bubble wrap for added protection.

The front of the bottle labels the brand and the product.  It also lists the main ingredients-- kojic acid, alpha-arbutin, & vitamin c.

The safety seal covers the entire bottle, and it has an 'easy tear' perforated strip.

The ingredients list is located on the right side of the label.

On the left side of the label is where you can find out a little more about the product, the usage directions, warnings, cautions, and manufacturing information.

This bottle uses a pump in order to dispense the serum.  The cap has a fancy chrome ring around the bottom.  There is also a plug in the opening to keep the product from clogging or crusting over.

The expiration date is printed on a label located on the bottom of the bottle.

My Personal Experience with Lumi'Essence Organic Advanced Skin Brightening Repair Treatment

I've tried a few products from this line, and let me tell you-- I love them!  I'm really big into skin care, so this was exciting to try.  I've been like this treatment because it is a brightening treatment.  It's pretty amazing.

It's a very silky lotion.  It absorbs very easily, and it's pretty easy to overdo it.  So, begin with a little and workup from there.  It has a floral-y scent, but it dissipates after a few minutes.  This is great to use twice a day!

Pros of Lumi'Essence Organic Advanced Skin Brightening Repair Treatment
  • Works great!  Instantaneously brightens your skin.
  • Contains super awesome ingredients.
  • The bottle is really attractive.
  • Doesn't make your face greasy after use.
  • Contains organic ingredients and is not tested on animals.

Cons of Lumi'Essence Organic Advanced Skin Brightening Repair Treatment
    • I'm not crazy about the fragrance, but it dissipates after a few minutes.
          Summary

This is the first repairing treatment that I used on my face with these ingredients.  I was impressed with how it felt.  I thought it was definitely going to feel greasy, but it doesn't.  It works great underneath moisturizer, and you can use it twice daily if you wish.

I like that it comes in a pump. That would make it so easy to use. I have a dark spot on the side of my face that could really use some of this. I would like to try it.
