Packaging & Presentation of The Master Cleanse Made Easy (by Robin Westen) & Going Veggie (by Trudy Slabosz)
Both of these books arrived to me in perfect condition. There were no rips, tears, nor bends. Both books are soft cover, and have very colorful and appealing covers. The Master Cleanse Made Easy measures 8.0" x 5.0" x 0.50". Going Veggie measures 9.0" x 6.0" x 0.25".
Both of these books have 'About the Author' sections in the back. I love this part, it makes me feel like I have a better connection with the material.
Usually when I review a book from Ulysses Press, I go for the cookbooks. What can I say-- I love to cook and bake! This time it's a little bit different. I chose two books that I feel really complement one another. I've been a vegetarian (a true vegetarian) for about a year now. There is a lot more than just 'cutting out the meat'. It's about eating healthier, more colorfully, and feeling good from the foods you eat. It's not a diet, it's a way of life.
You and I both know that there is always room for improvement. There's nothing like hitting the 'refresh' button on your body about once per year. That's why I love The Master Cleanse Made Easy. This book completely highlights the advantages, and breaks down the entire cleanse into detail. There are recipes, quizzes, and motivational material throughout. This is not a cleanse that should be used often, but once a year will help detox your body.
I think after this cleanse, it would be easy to slide right into the Going Veggie book. This book is 'The 30-Day Guide to Becoming a Healthy Vegetarian'. I love this book. It's extremely informative, and the pictures are motivation all in themselves. The author personalizes the book, and really introduces a plan that anybody can follow. The back of the book offers some delicious recipes that coincide with the meal plans within.
