..::Glitz 'n Glamour::.. SimplyGlamorousSTL Review

Hello! I seriously love new products, especially products for the body (no, I am not only a makeup junkie). I received 'Amanda’s Homemade Eye Makeup Remover', 'Amanda’s Homemade Orange Sugar Scrub', 'Amanda’s Homemade Peppermint Hand Salve', (1) 'Peppermint Lip Balm', and (1) 'Cinnamon Chapstick' from SimplyGlamorousSTL on Etsy.

The first thing that I wanted to try was the Eye Makeup Remover. I am picky about my eye makeup remover, so I was anxious to try this. The label says "...shake well before use", which I did. I then applied it to a cotton ball. I wanted to feel the product, so I also put some on my hand and it is oily. So, just be aware that a little will go a long way. The product worked well by taking off all of my eyeliner and mascara, (as you know mascara is one of the tricky products to get off your eyes!). I really felt that this eye makeup remover got all of my eye makeup off without scrubbing my eyes. All I had to do was wipe it away, which was great. I highly recommend this product.

I tried the 'Orange Sugar Scrub' on my legs before and after shaving. I learned a little trick that exfoliating your legs before and after shaving leaves them so smooth and soft. I was excited to use this since I am out of my usual scrub. It worked like a charm, and my legs were so soft. I will say that this product does leave behind a slight oil residue, and it is a little rough so I would not recommend this for use on your face. If you like to use a sugar scrub on your body just to get rid of the dry skin, then this is a great product for that. The sugar scrub is in the scent orange, but it smells so good-- like summer in a jar. I'm not sure why it reminds me of summer, but it does! I really enjoyed using this product.

Next, I tried the 'Peppermint Hand Salve', which smells just like peppermint. I love mint scents, so this was great for me. Mint reminds of clean (again not sure why, but it does).  The first thing that I noticed about this product was that it is VERY thick. I tried this on my hands, and it felt very greasy at first, but once I left it for a while the product really soaked into the skin nicely. I would not recommend this on your hands unless you are willing to deal with the greasy feeling for about 5 to 10 minutes. I would, however, recommend this on your legs after shaving, this salve is very moisturizing and leaves your skin feeling AMAZING

The 'Peppermint Lip Balm' (which also smells like peppermint) is so luxurious and creamy. My lips were singing this balm's praises after using it. I did not need more than one coat of this balm to make my lips moisturized. Very, VERY nice lip balm, and I LOVE it!

Lastly, I used the 'Cinnamon Chapstick', and I was a little hesitant to try just because I couldn't imagine cinnamon smelling that great on my lips. Well, I was really shocked after smelling this chapstick, because this is like the ultimate Big Red gum chapstick. It smells just like the gum, and I love big red gum. This is my favorite chapstick ever. It went on just like the balm and moisturized very well.

Overall, I honestly liked all of the products I was sent.  The only thing that I did not like was how thick the hand salve was at first, and it was a little hard to get out of the jar. Overall, I really liked the product. Please check out SimplyGlamorousSTL on Etsy.
