My Review of the Ozeri 12" Green Earth Wok

What is it exactly?

Packaging & Presentation of the Ozeri 12" Green Earth Wok

  

This wok arrived in absolute pristine condition.  The box part (not including the handle) measures 12.5" x 12.25" x 4.0", so it ships in a pretty large box.  The box is white heavy-duty cardboard with green and black accents.  The wok's handle is sticking out of the box, and the entire thing is wrapped in plastic wrap and secured with a rubber band.

The front of the box labels the product and brand.  It lets you know what size wok you are getting, and it also features a see-through window so you can check out the texture of the inside of the wok.

The back of the box provides a few important details about the wok.  It also explains how the wok works.  There is also a window on this side so you can see the outside of the wok.

Out of the four sides of the box, two of them have information on them.  The right side features the same information as the front of the box.  The left side provides a detailed description about this wok.

Each locking tab has a safety seal on it, so be sure to remove or cut these before opening.

When I took off the box, the entire wokis wrapped in plastic.  

After unwrapping it, I found a green felt wok protector and a set of instructions (for seasoning, washing, and storage).

My Personal Experience with the Ozeri 12" Green Earth Wok

I enjoy cooking, and a good wok can make all of the difference.  I choose to use coated pans because stainless just doesn't work for me. I owned a wok years ago, and I absolutely loved it.  I used it all of the time. That one had to retire, and since then I haven't owned another.  I was really eager to try this, as I've missed having one around the house.  I don't just stir fry, I use it for everything. 

Before anything, let's check out both sides of this 12" wok.  The inside is extremely smooth.

The bottom has a stainless bottom that is induction stove safe.  If you peek at the side, you will see that it is an amazing lime green color.  The company name 'Ozeri' is displayed in the middle.

The handle is very lightweight, and it has a place where you can hang it up if you wish.

Instructions.  Yes.  Please read them.  Ozeri wants you to read them, because this User's Guide is printed in 10 different languages.  It explains how to season your new wok, how to care for it, and how to store it.  Best of all, it gives usage information.

I wanted to cook something with it, so I seasoned it with some peanut oil.  I recommend seasoning your pans at least once per year.  I season mine about twice.  For this wok, I used 1 teaspoon of oil since it is 12".  I wiped out the excess oil with a paper towel, and it was ready for use.

I decided to make spaghetti tonight, so it was a perfect opportunity to use the wok for the Smart Ground.

None of it stuck, which is amazing because it usually does.  It cooked evenly, fast, and I had absolutely no issues.

Pros of the Ozeri 12" Green Earth Wok

• Eco-friendly!  The coating doesn't emit any harmful fumes.

• Really, it's easy to clean.  You can put it in the dishwasher if you want to.

Cons of the Ozeri 12" Green Earth Wok

• I have not found any cons of this wok.

Summary

I explained above that I had a good 'ol wok.  But this one is way better.  The quality is outstanding.  It's super durable, it's lightweight, and it's fancy-looking.  I love the way it cooks, everything heats evenly, and there are no hot/cold spots.  I give this my highest recommendation.
