"Each month a fully designed project kit arrives in a delightful box filled with stamps, ink, and paper—everything cut and ready to go so you can skip to the fun. Just think of it as creativity in a box."
Review…
I was sent the April box from Stampin' Up to review.
The price for a 1-month subscription is $19.95. A neat quality about Paper Pumpkin is that you can increase the number of kits per month. If you are having a crafting party, you can order one kit per attendee in the same master order.

Packaging & Presentation of the April Paper Pumpkin Subscription Box
I was pretty excited to come home and see a little red Paper Pumpkin box sitting in the mailbox! The exterior box is red and baby blue, and it is small enough to fit into a standard mailbox. It measures 10.0" x 6.5" x 1.75".The side of the box says, "You're moments away from your escape..." and the bottom of the box is labeled 'Stampin' Up'.
When I opened the box, I was introduced to a tissue paper wrapped box of goodies (sealed with a cute Paper Pumpkin sticker!) with a subscription introduction pamphlet. The inside of the box also completed the statement from the exterior with, "...Run away with me."
The first layer of unwrapping revealed this month's (April) stamp set, and (2) Classic Stampin' Spots in 'Crushed Curry' and 'Pacific Point'.
The final layer housed the actual April kit, 'Love You a Lot'.
The main title sheet provides a quick run-down of what you need to do, and it also opens up for a few more detailed instructions. What I like about Paper Pumpkin, is that they also provide YouTube video demonstrations on how to create the months' craft. It is a helpful assistant, one in which I used! You can view this month's video above.
My Personal Experience with the April Paper Pumpkin Subscription Box
After unpacking everything, I was certainly ready to start creating! First, before anything, I unpacked the actual kit and sat down and watched the YouTube video so I got an idea of what I was supposed to do (I'm a visual learner).
I was really excited to see this kit. I never peek at what the kit is before I actually open it, so it's always a surprise! This one is great for Father's Day. What a treat, because my six year old loves creating things (especially DIY crafts) for his dad. This was a really fun one to make. I'll walk you through the steps:
First, I created the envelope pocket. Fold on the creases, and fold it over to stick them to the opposite side.
Next, I cut 10" of the string and tied it through the hole in the envelope pocket.
The bow tie was really fun! Take a rounded object (on the video they used a pencil, I used a pen), and run it across the back to round the bow. When it's pretty rounded, stick an adhesive dot on each side and fold it towards the center.
Punch out the little strip next to the bow piece, and round it as well. Put an adhesive dot on each side of this piece, and fold it around the center of your bow.
Next, take the long strip and put an adhesive dot on each end of that. Then wrap it around the envelope pocket and attach.
Use a dimensional and attach the bow to the strip on the envelope pocket.
Next, grab a piece of the card stock and fold it in half. Take a white piece and get your stamps set up!
Use your acrylic 'D' block and your Classic Stampin'
Spots to stamp all of your favorite pieces on the front, and attach dimensionals on the back.
Attach it to the folded card stock, and it's ready to go in the envelope pocket!
How adorable is this when finished!?
