..::Product Review::.. Power Tek Fire Talon Multi-tool Pocket Knife

My Review of the Power Tek Fire Talon Multi-tool Pocket Knife

What is it exactly?

     From the website. . .
"In a perfect world, you'd only have to deal with DIY tasks in well-lit conditions.

But this is far from reality. How many times have you been stuck trying to make a repair in poor lighting? And it never fails... when you need to take care of a repair, the flashlight you keep in your toolbox has mysteriously disappeared.

Even if you locate your flashlight, there's the task of trying to shine the light on your work area with one hand while you make repairs with the other.

But what if you had a solution that required no extra hands... no juggling tools and flashlights trying to get the job done?

Fire Talon is the only solution that gives you a full range of essential tools AND a built-in LED flashlight on both ends to make performing repairs a breeze!"

Review…

I was sent a Fire Talon multi-tool pocket knife from Power Tek to review.

The price for this multi-tool is $36.95, and it ships free with Amazon Prime.

Packaging & Presentation of
the Power Tek Fire Talon Multi-tool Pocket Knife

This multi-tool arrived safely.  There were no dents, defects, nor issues during shipment with the product.  It came shipped inside of a nice box.  The multi-tool was also packaged inside of cellophane. The box measures 5.0" x 2.75" x 1.5" at its widest points.  The box was sealed on both ends.

Upon opening the box, the multi-tool was packed inside of a snap pouch that labels the product and brand.

The pouch has a belt loop and a snap closure.

The actual multi-tool was wrapped inside of cellophane for added protection.

Inside of the cellophane, you will find instructions and the multi-tool.

Before you use the flashlights, you have to pull the tab out, and then shut the battery compartment.

My Personal Experience with the Power Tek Fire Talon Multi-tool Pocket Knife

I've never realized the importance of a multi-tool until a few years back.  At my old job, all of my coworkers had them, and when one of our maintenance checks required a simple tool, they had it right there.  I was always the one that had to go and waste time looking for a tool.  It was ridiculous.  I love this one, and the extra flashlights just make it all the better.

When you initially open it up, you'll find a pair of pliers.  This is probably the tool that I use the most. These are spring-loaded and you get a nice grip.

Of course, you have the knife.  It wasn't that sharp, so I sharpened it, and now it's pretty dangerous.

It also comes with the following:

+ Professional-grade scissors to make trimming and cutting a breeze!
+ Easy-to-use wire strippers to make electrical repairs simple and safe!
+ A built-in can opener to take the frustration out of camping trips!
+ Phillips and flathead screwdrivers tough enough to handle any task!

The best part is the flashlight on either end.  They are both really bright and make small jobs a cinch.

Pros of the Power Tek Fire Talon Multi-tool Pocket Knife
  • Very easy to use.
  • Plenty of tools in one device.
  • I love that it comes with a pouch.
  • Well made and durable.  This is not going to fall apart on you.
Cons of the Power Tek Fire Talon Multi-tool Pocket Knife
  • The multi-tool is stiff, you are going to need to break it in.
          Summary

This has pretty much everything you need to handle simple tasks.  Especially when you are in need of something right then and there.  The flashlights are bright, and each tool behaves as it should.

This would be so great for my husband. He's always outdoors and loves hiking and camping. I think this would be a good Christmas gift.
