"We've turned this classic science experiment into the ultimate hands-on volcano experience! First you'll use the plaster and mold included to make your volcano chamber. Then you'll use the brush and paints included in the kit to decorate it. Next you'll make the volcano erupt over and over again with the eruption powder (included). Plus you'll get to examine 3 genuine volcanic specimens including: a real geode, an obsidian arrowhead, and a floating piece of volcanic rock called pumice. The information guide will teach you all about your specimens as well as how volcanoes form and why they erupt. Also included is an activity booklet with 10 fun games, puzzles, and challenges to complete. Because everything is included in the kit, you won't need to run to the store for additional supplies. If you're doing this project for the science fair, you'll love how nice this volcano looks---it's way better then those paper mache volcanoes. This is the perfect science kit for anyone interested in geology, earth science, or volcanoes."

Packaging & Presentation of the Ultimate Volcano Kit
This kit arrived to my door incredibly quickly, and everything was intact! The box is really cool-- it is black with red and orange on it. It's definitely something that I'd take a look at if I saw it on the shelf at the store. The box measures 11.0" x 7.75" x 2.0".
The front of the box labels the product and brand. It features the 'Seal of Excellence Dr. Toys Alumni'. There is a large scorpion pictured, too! The warning label is clearly visible. The back of the box outlines the contents of the kit. Dr. Cool's mission statement is printed in a bold, orange box.
Both sides of the box are the same. They label the product and brand, and specify this kit is for ages 6+. The bottom of the box is where you will find the company's contact information. The contents are non-toxic, but children ages 0-3 should not be around the kit.
There is a flip-top lock tab on top, but when you open it, you can slide out the plastic. The books are located on the bottom, and the molds and tools on top.
There is a pack of Volcano Plaster, two packs for the eruption process (citric acid and sodium bicarbonate).
There are rocks, paint, a paintbrush, and a wooden stick.
You will also find molds for your volcano.
There are (3) books that are included. The first is the Activity Booklet. This book is filled with a ton of activities related to the kit for your little one.
Next, the Adventure Guide. This guide is very detailed, and includes a lot of information and fun facts about volcanoes.
Lastly, the Activity Catalog. This book is more for the parents-- it provides a bunch of other kits that your child may like.
This Volcano Kit has been a hit! Everybody had a ton of fun creating it, setting it up, and watching it erupt!
First, we had to actually create the volcano with the included plaster and molds. We mixed the plaster with water and poured it into the mold. We let it sit for 45 minutes inside of the mold.
After it dried, we put it in the oven for an hour at 200 degrees.

Summary
We had so much fun with this. We've been having a couple of rainy days, so this has been a lot of fun learning and exploring a miniature volcano in our kitchen. I have always seen people use these kits, but I have actually never played with one. I was glad that we all got to experience this! My daughter is 14 months old, and she was wide-eyed when it started erupting!
