Packaging & Presentation of the Ozeri Ultra 42" Wind Fan - Adjustable Oscillating Tower Fan with Noise Reduction Technology
This tower fan arrived in absolute pristine condition, which is pretty good considering the box is huge! It was actually packaged in two boxes-- the first being a plain, heavy-duty exterior box and the second was the actual product box (once again cardboard but with black printing).
The front of the box labels the brand, product, and features a nice sized picture of the tower fan. The back of the box outlines nine different product features.
The right side of the box displays a side view of the fan in black ink, provides a description of the product, and lists box contents. The left side of the box gives a very nice diagram of the breakdown features.
This box flips open from the side, and it has three locking tabs.
When I opened the box, I found everything packaged super nicely. All of the components were packed carefully.
There are (5) five main parts that you want to make sure to unpack. The tower fan assembly, the base, the extension column, the pack of screws, and the instruction manual/remote. Each piece is wrapped in plastic. When you unwrap them, you'll see that the fan is silver and has charcoal and chrome accents.
The instruction manual is very informative, easy to read, and well-written. It covers setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
This has got to be one of the hottest summers that I have ever experienced. It is not fun being hot, and it's not fun seeing our electric bill every month with the cost of running the air conditioner! I love having a nice tower fan around the house, especially this one. It puts out a remarkable air flow, and I love the different settings.
First, I set up the extension column and base. They were easy-- just stick and they click together. The extension column connects directly to the bottom of the main body. Make sure that you line it up correctly.
You have to run the cable through the extension column, and then attach with the four included screws.
Same thing with the base-- run the cable through the center of that as well, and then attach with the four included wing nuts.
The bottom of the base has two guides and a slot where the cable can be out-of-the-way and doesn't make the fan sit lopsided.
There are two include AAA batteries, so unwrap those and put them in the back of the remote. There is a slot for the remote right on top of the tower fan.
The entire panel (and remote slot) is covered by a blue push-magnet cover. It keeps the dust and debris out of the buttons. The cord has polarized ends (one blade being larger than the other), so make sure your outlet is made for this.
The back of the tower fan features a handle for easy transport, and a product label with supporting information if you ever have an issue and need to call about it.
The fan features three modes-- wind, nature, and night. I love the nature mode because it cycles through varying levels of intensity. You can adjust the speed, the oscillation, and the timer setting.
One of the best settings is 'night mode'. If you hold the mode button for three seconds the LCD display dims, and you can only see the moon lit up. To exit night mode, press any button.
- Very modern and sleek-looking.
- Three modes-- wind, nature, and night.
- Very easy to assemble.
- Pretty simple and straightforward.
- Included remote with remote storage.
- Oscillating.
- Quiet.
- Height adjustment with or without column extension.
Cons of the Ozeri Ultra 42" Wind Fan - Adjustable Oscillating Tower Fan with Noise Reduction Technology
- I have not found any cons of this tower fan.
Summary
This tower fan has really helped out around here. I live in a mobile home, so the walls are pretty thin. This means keeping cool air in on a hot day (or vice versa) is nearly impossible. It seems as if our outdoor unit is running ALL of the time. This fan keeps everything circulating, and the air that comes out is very cool. The fan is very easy to assemble and only took me about 10 minutes. I love the simple operation and the sleek and modern look. I definitely recommend this!
