Hi, everyone! You all know that I have a serious obsession with eye shadow! I was sent (3) natural mineral eye shadows from Crush Cosmetics on Etsy. Notice that I said natural (again, I love natural products!).
Once I received the eye shadow, I was so EXCITED to review them! Last night, I had to get ready to go to my sister-in-law's for a birthday party. What a PERFECT time to test the eye shadow! I used all three of them that I was sent in my look last night, and they worked perfectly (just the look I was going for!). I was going for the 'brown-copper-smoky-eye' look. I also got a lot of compliments on my eyes last night. My sister-in-law asked me what colors I used. Here they are:
The products that I was sent are in little eye shadow jars. They allow the eye shadow to come out nicely, and it’s not difficult to get it out of the jar. Love!
I was sent 'Chantrelle', which is a brown color with maybe a hint of gold in it, and maybe a little shimmer-- but not much. This color is very pretty, although, I was slightly disappointed that it took more of the product than I had hoped to achieve the look I was going for. This color is light with just one sweep of my brush, but once I really got the color on my brush real good, it really achieved the color I was going for. I think this color is GREAT, because it can give me a light brown if I wanted, or I could make this REALLY dramatic. Personally, I just like dramatic, most of the time!
I was also sent 'Moxie', and let me say this color is GORGEOUS! LOVE LOVE LOVE this color! It is the very definition of copper. This color really stands out to me. I can definitely see the red tone in it and the shimmer. This color came off of my brush very nicely. It didn’t take a lot to get what I wanted out of this color. If you have been looking for a true copper color eye shadow, this is it!
Lastly, I was sent 'Doll Parts'. It is a pearly-white color. I can see the pink tone and the shimmer in this color. I used this color right under my brow last night, and in my tear duct. This color just completed the look for me. It actually went well with the brown and copper that I used. Only because I did NOT go heavy with this color. I left it light, and applied just enough to lighten the eye (just a little). If you wanted to really enhance this color, it would be possible. It is a light color but you are able to build it up. This color was perfect for my Valentine's look today!
Overall, I really LOVE all of the eye shadows that I was sent. They are natural, which is great. They are also super pigmented. Another thing that is very important when it comes to eye shadow, is how well they blend. These colors are very blend-able. With that being said, I will be buying some more eye shadows from Crush Cosmetics, they have so many beautiful colors. Please check them out on Etsy!
