Packaging & Presentation of the Credit Card-Sized External Battery Charger
I love when I receive things that are packaged well and do not have any issues during shipment. Unfortunately, this is one of those weird situations, because this charger was packaged nicely, but the outer package had some damage. The clear plastic case was shattered on one side. It didn't affect the function of the charger at all, but I am unable to continue using the case as a storage case. The case itself measures 5.5" x 3.25" x 0.75".
The front of the case is really neat though, and you can see through to the actual product. It kind of reminds me of the older Apple cases. The back of the case talks a little bit about the product, outlines its features, and lists the specifications.
When I unpacked everything I found the following: the charger itself; a MicroUSB cable; an Apple Lightning converter; and a set of instructions.
The back of the actual power bank has a few specifications on it, the model number, the website information, and manufacturing and design information.
It is a very thin product. When they say 'credit card sized', they mean it! It is only 1/8" thick!
I am probably the worst person when it comes to my phone. Half of the time its dead, and the other half of the time it is lost. I have a car charger in my phone, but that doesn't always come in handy when you really need it. Here's a good example of something that would happen in my life: I'm walking through Dillard's. I forget that I had a phone call scheduled with some important person, and my phone rings. I look at the phone and start panicking, because I see that I only have 5% battery left, and I know that this call is going to take about 30 minutes. Do I answer? Do I ignore? Do I let it go to Voicemail? Oh no!
...BUT... now that isn't a problem. This little charger is a life saver. It's so, so, so easy to use, and it really gives you that battery boost when you need it.
To begin with, I read the directions. You know, I always try to figure out things without reading them, but I always miss about 85% of the features when I do that. I'm trying to get better. They were easy to read and understand.
Next, I charged the external battery charger itself by using the included MicroUSB cable. I just plugged it right into my other adapter in an outlet. You can see the red indicator light. That means it's charging! When it's fully charged, the light will go off.
Then plug it in!
Look what it does! It really charges!

Cons of the Credit Card-Sized External Battery Charger
- My plastic case was broken.
- The side MicroUSB input is kind of tricky. You really have to push the head a little harder than I felt comfortable with.
Summary
Why have I never had one of these before? These have got to be one of the most helpful, reliable, and convenient little chargers. I really like the look of it, and Power Theory makes some quality products. It works great for me, and it definitely is something I like to keep around in my baby's diaper bag (just in case!). Would I buy this again? Yes! Most definitely!

This is just what I have been looking for. I am always forgetting to charge my phone before I leave my house.
I need this. I am currently on campus next to a charger outlet charging my phone! GRRR
