"We started making Veggie-Go’s in January 2011 after returning home to Boulder, Colorado after a year of living, working, and most importantly eating on organic farms in Greece, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and France. We became addicted to the way we were eating on the farms where our diets were made up almost entirely of the fresh, organic produce we were growing.
Upon returning home we were shocked by the American way of eating and what was being called “food”. We decided to take matters into our own hands and create a snack the embodied the fresh, organic produce we were growing; but that also fit into the American on-the-go lifestyle. And thus Veggie-Go’s were born!"

Review…
I was sent a sample pack of the five flavors from Veggie Go's to review.
The price for this pack is $6.95. Shipping begins at $5.99.
Packaging & Presentation of Veggie-Go's
These chewy fruit snacks arrived to my house in perfect condition. There were no rips, tears, nor defects during shipment. The packaging is really nice. Although the outline for each package is the same, the colors differ. This makes it easy to visually select a flavor without having to read the individual package. Each 0.42 oz pack measures 5.5" x 2.25". In my sample pack, I received five flavors of Veggie-Go's (Cinnamon Spiced Beet, TropiKale, Carrot Ginger, Mountain Berry Spinach, and Sweet Potato Pie), and a flyer providing more information.
There is a lot of information on each pack. The front labels the brand and product. Each pack has a small see through window so you can see through to the actual product. The front also says that each snack provides 1/2 serving of fruit, and 1/2 serving of veggies. These snacks are non-GMO project verified, kosher, USDA organic, and made in the USA.

My Personal Experience with Veggie-Go's
Since I'm a vegetarian, I'm always looking to incorporate those extra fruits and veggies into my diet. Sometimes I just don't feel like eating them. Sometimes I want something a little more sweet. That is where these come in. They are low calorie (20 or less per bar!), and they have fruits and veggies in them. Organic, too!
I was pretty excited to try the beet one (I absolutely love beets!) first.
I opened up the package, and it looked really good, but it looked natural. I shared these with my family (just so I can get everybody's opinion).
On the front of the Veggie-Go, I noticed that it was a little rough textured. It also had some noticeable flax seeds. I like flax seeds, so I was happy about that.
To my surprise, the other side looked different. It has kind of a sheen to it, and a smooth texture. It was also lighter in color than the first side.
I tried some, my husband tried some, my 6-year old son tried some, and my granny tried some. As you can tell, my 10-month old wanted some, but she couldn't have any.
Pros of Veggie-Go's
- Less than 20 calories per bar!
- 1/2 serving of both fruit and vegetables.
- Only has 1/3 the sugar of other fruit strips!
- Great taste masks the veggie flavor.
- Perfect for lunch snacks, on-the-go snacks, and to keep around the house.
- Non-GMO.
Cons of Veggie-Go's
- Personally, I have found no cons of these. However, I do want to mention that my husband thinks they are too chewy.
Summary
The taste-test result? 3 out of the 4 people liked them. My son asked for me to put one into his lunchbox. My favorite was the Cinnamon Spiced Beet. My son loves the TropiKale "because it's green". My husband didn't care for them because he thought they were too chewy. Granny and I loved the flavor. I'd definitely buy these again. They are great to keep around the house.
