..::Product Review::.. Dance Crazy & Salsa Crazy Ballroom Dance, Salsa Dance, & Pilates for Dancers

My Review of Dance Crazy & Salsa Crazy's Ballroom Dance, Salsa Dance, and Pilates for Dancers

What is it exactly?

     From the website. . .
"Geared towards beginners and those whom are learning their first movements, all the way to intermediates, a lot of time is spent on explanation and proper repetition, so you get the most out of your workout.

Multiple angles make sure you don't miss any of the important alignment, or subtle movements. A great video, and a chance for you to experience a dancer's workout!"

Review…

I was a sent the Ballroom Dance Mastery System, the Salsa Dance Mastery System, and Pilates for Dancers from Dance Crazy and Salsa Crazy to review.

The Ballroom Dance Mastery System includes (7) DVD's and costs $37.95.  The Salsa Dance Mastery System icludes (5) DVD's and costs $67.00.  The Pilates for Dancers DVD costs $14.95.  All of these DVD dance systems ship free with Amazon Prime.

Packaging & Presentation of Dance Crazy's Ballroom Dance, Salsa Dance, and Pilates for Dancers

I received all the DVD's shipped to my door free of defects.  All of the DVD's were in perfect condition.  I received (3) sets:  The Ballroom Dance Mastery System, the Salsa Dance Mastery System, and Pilates for Dancers.  The covers are all very colorful and inviting.  The two system cases are 1.0" thick, and the Pilates case is the standard size of 0.5" thick.  All of the DVD's were wrapped in protective cellophane.

First, I'd like to start with the Ballroom Dance Mastery System.  The front of the case looks pretty fancy, and the back of the case tells you a little bit about the product.

This system includes (7) DVD's:  (2) Waltz DVD's, (2) Swing DVD's, (2) Rumba DVD's, and (1) Foxtrot DVD.  All the DVD's are printed clearly and are labeled with which Volume they are so you don't get confused.

There is a little sponge inside that protects your DVD's from getting smooshed if there is too much pressure on the case:

The side of the case was labeled nicely so you can keep it on a shelf and quickly locate it.

Next, the Salsa Dance Mastery System case is colored a deep red/orange.  The front of the case is pretty jam-packed, but it lists a bunch of features of the videos.  The back of the case shows actual still shots of the instructors dancing.

This system includes (5) DVD's.  They are numbered in order of which ones to complete first.  There are (3) beginners discs and (2) intermediate discs.

There is also a sponge inside this case, too.

This case can easily be placed on a shelf.  The side of the case is artful, and easy to notice so you can quickly grab it.

Lastly, the Pilates for Dancers DVD has a brightly colored case.  The front titles the product and states four features of the DVD.  The back gives a few example photos and gives more product details.

There is one DVD in this case.

Lastly, this DVD does have a title on the side.  But what bothers me about this is that the title is backwards from the other DVD's.  The other ones were written down and this one is written up.  Maybe it's just my OCD, but I would not put it on my shelf because it would drive me crazy.

My Personal Experience with Dance Crazy's Ballroom Dance, Salsa Dance, and Pilates for Dancers

I love learning knew things, and when these things turn out to double as workouts, it's even better!  I've been on this earth for 27 years, and for 27 of those years, I never learned how to dance.  It amazed me that as soon as I popped one of these DVD's in, that I quickly understood what was going on, and I felt like I knew what I was doing with confidence!  It was like having a professional instructor right in my living room.

When you pop the DVD in, you will see a title screen that lets you go through the entirety of the DVD or you can replay certain scenes if you didn't catch on fast enough.

What I do like is that for each video you are provided with a brief history so you understand where the dance that you are about to do came from.

Pros of Dance Crazy's Ballroom Dance, Salsa Dance, and Pilates for Dancers
  • Really, really, really easy to catch on.
  • It's like the instructors are in your living room! It's like private lessons.
  • The DVD's are a system and you get all of the dances in one set.
  • The systems act like you've never heard of these dances before, so you get the ultimate instruction for each dance.
  • I really like the music.
  • Pilates is wayyyy more fun than people make it out to be.
Cons of Dance Crazy's Ballroom Dance, Salsa Dance, and Pilates for Dancers
  • The sound quality isn't the greatest.
  • I don't like that the side of the Pilates case is written upside down.
        Summary

Each DVD brought different moves, music, and instructors.  I liked all of it!  I feel more educated when it comes to these dances, and definitely more cultured in general.  I thought they were very fun, and very personal.  What I like best, though, is that you definitely get a workout.  My husband is a great dancer, so this is great for bonding and even learning some new moves!  It is very easy to follow along, and in no time you'll catch on!
